AROUND Park Nature

Stay at the Park Nature Campsite at the foot of Kai Kung Leng, because it's perfectly located for a trek up the mountain. However, don't be deceived - climbing Kai Kung Leng is a real challenge, with much scrambling needed to reach the top! If you make it, or even if you go part away, there are stunning panoramic views of beautiful Yuen Long.

If that sounds too much like hard work on your relaxing caravan holiday, you could just sit back and relax - perhaps with a glass of wine and a book or with movies under the stars.

If drinking in the Woodhouse doesn't appeal then there's no need to leave the site, you can head to our Restaurant with an outdoor sun terrace, our Thai Cow is ready to take care of your taste buds . Enjoy our signature Thai food. If you’re not up for going out, we’ll bring your desired cuisine to your caravan.

HIKING to Kai Kung Leng

The walk starts in Fung Kat Heung and features some of the most stunning parts of the Kai Kung Leng (585m).  Follow the road uphill until you reach the Army Point LookoutIt provides fantastic views over Yuen Long, Kam Tin and even Shenzhen. The whole trail is exposed to sun!  But you will be awarded with a magnificent mountain landscape comparable to Pat Sin Leng in the Northeast Territories. The views of Tai Mo Shan, Tai To Yan mountain ranges towards Shenzhen, Mai Po Marshes and Nam Sang Wai with some deserted fishponds are excellent.

Nam Sang Wai is a wetland area to the north of Yuen Long. It is home to many birds and flora such as reeds and mangroves. This walk is most suitable for families, as it is flat land all along.

Located at the northern part of Tin Shui Wai, New Territories, Hong Kong, the site of Hong Kong Wetland Park was originally intended to be an ecological mitigation area (EMA) to compensate for the wetlands lost due to Tin Shui Wai New Town development.

You can start the ride at the western side of the mountain range near Yuen Long. The ridge passes through two major summits in the area: Kai Kung Shan (374m) and Kwai Kok Shan (585m), the tallest peak in the range. The route is also popular with mountain bikers and dirt bikes, with some of the valleys looking like giant ramps and half-pipes. Through the typical winter haze, you can see the farmers’ fields of Kam Tin to the south, and well into the mainland city of Shenzhen to the north.
